Why the Petoskey Area is the Perfect Girls’ Getaway

Posted on November 13, 2017

November is here and ladies, this is the perfect time to head to the Petoskey Area for a girlfriend getaway.

You’ve made it through the chaos of getting kids back to school, handed out candy to all the ghouls and goblins and have a little time before the onslaught of holiday demands hit. Why not treat yourself?

Isn’t the best part of being with your friends having some uninterrupted time together? Head to Harbor Springs and hunker down in a fully equipped condo, or maybe a full service hotel in Petoskey. Enjoy spectacular waterfront lodging in Bay Harbor and Walloon Lake, or gather around a bonfire in Alanson.

Perhaps Boyne Falls or Boyne City have the perfect accommodations for your group. No matter where you and your buddies plan to call home base, the Petoskey Area will offer a terrific retreat.

Though “girl talk” will probably be the focus of your getaway, you may want to get out and do some things. The Petoskey Area has you covered there, too.

10 intimate wineries and three breweries within the region offer inviting places to sip and sample a wide array of beer and wine. Buy a bottle or two to take back and share before turning in.

Get a head start on Christmas shopping in the delightful downtowns in Harbor Springs, Bay Harbor, Petoskey and Boyne City.

Find a local restaurant and shake up your taste buds with something new. If you’re a mom, choose somewhere that you’d never take the kids.

Gaming excitement at the tables and slot machines welcomes you at the Odawa Casino. Bring your dancing shoes and take a spin on the floor at the casino’s Ozone nightclub on Fridays and Saturdays.

Take in a film at the Harbor Springs Lyric Theatre – a theater designed with the guest in mind. Overhead in the big theater (195 seats), the stars sparkle on the ceiling before the show starts. Enjoy popcorn made with real butter along with your favorite soft drink or a glass of wine while you let the movie take you away.

Put on your fleece and hit the beach in search of Petoskey Stones or wander to one of the nature trails that are a part of the Little Traverse Conservancy.

Line up the ultimate in relaxation and pampering with manis, pedis and massages.

Plan ahead and take advantage of Ladies Night Out in Harbor Springs or Ladies Opening Night in Petoskey.

You’ve got the gal pals and the Petoskey Area has the places for you to stay, as well as a full complement of activities. What are you waiting for?
