Don’t let cabin fever get you down. We have a weekend filled with fun and celebrations coming up, and you don’t want to miss it! So, pack your bags, get out of the house, and head to our ski resorts for a few days of silliness and merriment.
For the big kids (adults)
Kick off the fun at Boyne Mountain Resort with Carnival Weekend, Friday, March 17 through Sunday, March 19. Carnival Weekend isn't recommended for kids, just adults who want to act like kids. So, if you fit the bill, go visit for some on-hill parties and the famous Slush Cup, as skiers try to cross the pond without getting soaked. There will also be a food truck rally and plenty of other things to do. Plus, live bands will be performing all weekend. There’s tons of fun to be found on the Mountain, so make plans to be there.
For all kids
On Saturday, March 18, head to Nub’s Nob for their Mardi Gras party. This one is a family event with lots of activities for the kids and parents alike. Try riding a fat tire bike down a ski hill, or participate in a silly slalom race down the slopes. There are versions of the race for under- and over-21, to keep things interesting. There’s even a costume contest to see who gets decked out the most for this party.
The good times don’t stop there. Also on Saturday the 18th, be sure to visit Boyne Highlands for the no-holds-barred festivities of Krazy Daze. Fun and laughter are plentiful at this family-friendly event. There are “Ski Over the Pond” events for kids and adults. The day features inflatables, silly ski races and a jump competition for the kids. Later in the evening, adults can visit the Zoo Bar for live music late into the night.
